My training for a marathon....

Dear Dr. Vanderslice:

I wanted to take a few minutes to express my gratitude for your professionalism, and expertise in the Chiropractic field, and where you have brought me personally and emotionally. Although I know it is your job and professional duty to provide me with the best care you know how, I feel you go beyond with a genuine care for your patients as you have demonstrated to me this past year.

My experience with you has been one of progressive improvement and strength building of my body. I believe we have formed a partnership in keeping my body aligned to meet the demands and challenges I expect my body to perform for me. A year ago, I walked into your office, frustrated with the limitations in feeling well, being able to get out and run like I had been able to do years ago. I had just come out of years of accepting pain and discomfort, because I believed that “comes with age.” Even after my first visit with you and after you conducted a thorough check of the condition of my skeletal condition, I had doubt that I could ever feel “fit.” Within weeks of my visits with you, I began to feel a change. Very quickly, I was able to surmise when I told you what was bothering me during appointments, you would perform some adjustment and results were positive within hours or days. After a few months of routine visits, I was feeling pretty good – I recall the morning I could fluff my down comforter by grabbing the ends and shaking it on the bed. What a wonderful feeling – to have the strength in my back for something so easy, yet was so painful months before. That morning, I thanked God for my feeling so good, and I mentally thanked Dr. Kent for his fine work.

Additionally, I have benefited from the supplements and vitamins you have recommended. I find with all the activities and busy, stressful days I have to deal with, taking care of my body is essential. It has become a circle of goodness – first making the decision to “fix” myself – emotionally and physically, getting rid of aches and pain helped me exercise more, gave m , incentive to “raise the bar” to train for a 26.2 marathon, which disciplines me to eat well and take vitamins, and all this results in feeling great physically and emotionally. I realized I needed your help with this. It goes without saying, your office environment is of trust and professionalism, yet characterized with customer focus and warmth by Layla. So, I thank you, Dr. Kent.

As I completed my marathon training run of 15 miles last week, I looked at the beautiful blue sky to thank God as my spiritual partner to make me a better person all around. Inside, after I proudly noted my miles and time on my training calendar, I jotted a note to schedule my next appointment with my “chiropractic-partner.” Coming up next week – 18 miles!

Sincerely,

Isabel
